This creation was born mostly of boredom, silliness, listening to Game of Throne audiobooks all day long, and LOL'ing over Tini's many creations using the same web page to edit photos. Oh, the possibilities....

Behold, Tywin Lannister

First of all, I want to thank everyone who came to help Kristin and me move yesterday. It went super fast and was really easy thanks to all of you that came out. We really couldn't have done it without you, and even the pizza and beer couldn't have been enough to let you all know how appreciative we were for your help.

And for all interested parties, Kristin and I were wondering who would be interested in having Wednesgiving at our new place. Please let us know sooner rather than later if this works (or does not work) for you. t'anks :3

The move is going well, I have most of my books unpacked and I clearly have my computer set up (the most important thing). The kitchen is mostly done, and so is the bedroom. The downstairs room...well...not so much.

Mentally, the move is...going okay. I had some rough spots today when I had to drive back to my parents' house to pick up a few more things and also to drop the suburban back off. Seeing my room mostly empty except for old marching band and bowling (yes, bowling) trophies and my bed, and a few things hung up on my walls (a poster, some old OM awards) really affected me.

I didn't know moving out was going to be this hard.

It was tough to look around the room or even the entire house. Twenty years of memories was a lot of weight to bear. I'd never sleep in my old bed again. I'd never be in that room up until 4, 5, 6am at my desk playing WoW or Mass Effect, Bioshock, or any countless number of games I'd played long past my bedtime. I'd never again sit on the floor of that room, reading a Wheel of Time or Star Wars book when I should instead have been studying for Stats or Bio. I'd never paint another warhammer mini in that room. Or plan a Dark Heresy session. Or write out an army list. Nerdy, inconsequential things, but I have a lot of fond memories of the place.

Even driving through Leesburg was interesting. I'm not going to be driving past my high school every day going to or from work; I'd always get a feeling of pride when I'd see the marching band rehersing outside after school. In fact, I'm not going to pass any of the many landmarks on my way home from work again because, well, it's not my home anymore. And that's tougher to deal with than I would have thought.

Aaaah, yes. Words. These Words are courtesy of classic1st .

1) Maw-ney - also occasionally "Mol-ney," is a commonly heard word on the morning show on 106.7fm, The Junkies. It is reserved for something that is awesome. Most often used by my boy, Money Metal Cakes, the 2nd best Junkie, 2nd only to Lurch

2) Silly - another Junkies term, it is usually used for an attractive woman, or a superior or superlative example of something.

3) Odin - the Norse God to whom I try to align myself. Typically known as the god of war, he is also the god of wisdom and the leader of the Aesir. I try to embody wisdom and leadership and look to Odin on a regular basis for courage, inspiration, and even friendship.

4) Negaverse - ugh. Although I know (unfortunately) that this is a Sailor Moon reference, I have not, and will not watch Sailor Moon. Instead, this comes from a LARP in which I play a character named Osric. He's a tad bit cursed and is marked w/ a symbol on his forehead. Apparently this symbol reminded people of this Sailor Moon shenanigans and since it has stuck. Upon further research, it seems that Negaverse is also a reference to Darkwing Duck, which is cooler than Sailor Moon, but not by much.

5) Ruiner of Beers - my nickname given to me due to my dastardly maneouver when around other beer drinkers. If you don't know, then listen well. If you and a friend are drinking beers in glass bottles, and you wish to be a dick (or rather, test the manliness of your friends), you tap the top of your friend's (soon to be your enemy's) beer with the bottom of your beer bottle. Be sure to come down on top of your friend's beer bottle in a straight, downward motion, so that the bottom of your beer bottle comes into contact directly overtop of the mouth of your friend's beer. This will cause the beer to overflow and foam up and out of the bottle's mouth. If your friend (who is now questioning why he ever befriended you) is a bitch, he will look on in shock and awe as his beer spills over his hand and onto the floor, which is an aggregious drinking faux pas (see also: "Party Foul" or "Alcohol Abuse"). If, however, your friend is a true man, he will immediately cover the mouth of his beer bottle with his mouth and with every ounce of his manliness, he will attempt to prevent the escape of any beer and drink the beer foam as fast as humanly possible.

Coheed and Cambria is going to open for Heaven & Hell (Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Vinnie Appice) AUGUST 23, 2009 at Marriweather Post Pavillion in Baltimore, MD.

Tickets go on sale 6/5. Who is with me?

I mean, Coheed and Cambria with basically Black Sabbath? The only thing better than this is if Coheed and Cambria opened for Led Zeppelin.

Apparently Keanu Reeves is considering starring in a Cowboy Bebop live action film. I generally don't get worried about the destruction of franchises that I love, but this is not good news.

Well, the Dragon Ball: Evolution trailer has been posted on FilePlanet and of course YouTube now. I never saw the tv show or read the manga, and I rolled my eyes when I heard they were doing a live action movie, but it looks like it could me mildly entertaining. Goku looks like Johnny Knoxville, though, which made me laugh.

I've tried multiple times to add a link for the youtube video, but it doesn't seem to be working. Look up Dragon Ball: Evolution on YouTube and you should be able to find it, or just download the thing from FilePlanet.

All rights reserved.

23 points short, so not sure what to do with that. But this army should be EXTREMELY fast and very very shooty. No hand to hand to speak of, which is kind of concerning, but the overall theme is just to fly in, shoot the enemy into oblivion, and then get out before anybody really knows what hit them. I sort of have the image in mind of Hueys chopping in and Flight of the Valkyries blaring in the background....

Election day drinking game!

What you need: Friends (unless you're an alcoholic), a TV, maps of the United States, red and blue crayons/colored pencils, drinks of your choice

What you do: Everybody colors in each of the 50 states with the color they believe that state is going to vote (red for republicans, blue for democrats). As the results come in, for every state you colored in wrong, you take a shot/drink. Call in sick the next morning.

I love this RPG (and the warhammer 40k universe) too much to not try and play it again in some form or fashion. I'm considering bringing my old campaign back as a play by post. Rush, Mike, anybody else, does this sound remotely possible and would anybody be interested?
